2nd Birthday Party

Some people will say you don't have to throw a 2-year-old a birthday party. However, we love a good celebration and an opportunity to invite friends to just hang out is always an excuse! Jaxson celebrated his 2nd birthday on the 10th, but we threw him a little party on the 14th. It was a Little Blue Truck theme, which is one of his favorite books at the moment. We enjoyed the company and his friends who joined us in the fun! Can't believe this little dude is 2! There are 5 Little Blue Truck Books total, just FYI!  His little banner Sweet gift bags of thanks for guests The awesome cake: Thanks, Pinterest! His "Blowing out the candles" face.  Indulging in his cake and ice cream Pin the Party Hat on Blue Coloring Station Enjoying the best part of the party! Trying to find the best pin up spot.  Cake time! Opening gifts Lots of movement, but the focus is on him. :) Pinning up his Party Hat.

Onto Two

Dear Jaxson, Wow, buddy, you're TWO. I sit in awe and wonderment most days, wondering where time went. You have blossomed into a fierce, kind, sweet, and rowdy little toddler. You bring me so much joy with your over-emphasis of my name "Mama!" Your Papa, I think, is sometimes jealous of our special bond and our little relationship because you never cease to want to cuddle with me, be beside me, and love on me. While Maddy did act very similar around your age, she also had a lot more independence than you do. It is true what they say, how mighty different the two siblings personalities are. However, you are sweet. You love to explore. You love to read. Your favorites are Little Blue Truck and Good Night Gorilla. You have discovered a profound love for trains or "Choo Choo's" and your excitement when you saw one in "real life" when we went to Indiana, well, that was one for the books. You love your "kit cat"...well, all "kit cats&q

Spring Break

Adventures always begin in the airport. I have pics of Madelynne enjoying trips and airport discoveries at Jax's age, so my focus this round to Indianapolis to visit Grandma Sue was on Jax's momentous milestone: his last "Free" ride as the lap child.  The waiting game consists of:  Being on our devices while we waste time.  Or checking out the planes parked at the terminals.  Or looking at the planes through spy holes in the seats.  Watching the workers load and unload the plane.   And flying consists of entertainment, sleep, and a few minor meltdowns: Watching Coco Holding my hand at take off.  We got to Indy the day before Easter and Grandma Sue, Aunt Kristie, and cousin Hollie had the eggs and dye ready to be decorated by the kids. Jax wasn't that interested, but Madelynne and Hollie had a blast. Getting ready to dunk hers.  Watching Aunt Kristie prep the cups with dye and vinegar.  The girls in action.
