Klamath Falls

Our adventures continued and led us to Oregon for my cousin's wedding. We enjoyed the beauty of Klamath Falls and ventured up to Crater Lake. Although we were able to see the the lake, the smoky haze from the numerous wildfires surrounding the area was a bit of a nuance. However, it didn't deter from a beautiful wedding or an enjoyable time at Crater Lake. Unfortunately, we only had one hiccup with our beloved Mayday, which was a broken caliper when we were coming down from Crater Lake. It left us in quite a pickle, waiting for a tow truck to come get Brad. Luckily it was the only issue for the trip, and we were able to move on without a hitch. :)

Cape Alava Camping Adventure!

We are definitely trying to make the most of our time in Washington and since the weather has been gradually warming up, with beautiful blue skies and sunshine, we cannot resist getting outside. And, because hiking is free and camping is pretty inexpensive, we have been doing A LOT of it lately. Granted, our excursion to Oregon was not cheap, it was still a pretty inexpensive weekend getaway and worth the drive! In her new hiking pack Cape Alava at high tide Crossing a bridge We discovered one place, though, called Cape Alava, via one of our trail/hiking books. We went out last weekend, and it is a good 3 mile hike to the coast, from Lake Ozette, and then another 3 mile hike back to the parking area, (so 6 round trip). The loop itself, to Sand Point, is 9 miles total. We got there when tide was fairly high, so we didn't travel down the coast too far, as you can make a complete loop (3 miles down the beach and then another 3 miles on a second trail, that splits at th...

For the future's not ours to see...

There is so much going on in our world today that is negative. I get irritated with watching the news and seeing such drama the media portrays. I never really paid that much attention to it until I had Madelynne and then everything changed about my perception of the world. It is scary, out there, when all you want to do is shelter and protect your little one. Maybe I am coming to the terms with growing older and realizing that life on this great planet is limited and to make the most of it. Being a SAH mom has really caused me to think and reflect on so many different things. It hasn’t always been sweet, happy thoughts, either. I know a few weeks ago I was really concerned for the end of the world and for my daughter and future generations that have to endure such drastic changes that will continue to occur over time. I find myself getting caught up with questions about my faith and my journey as a Christian and feeling lost and not knowing who to turn to or talk to about such conflict...

To Infinite...AKA Oregon...and Beyond!

If you ever go on a vacation with us, just note...it is always an adventure. Seriously, have not had a ton of time to get myself back into fast-forward mode, as I call it, let alone, really delve in and cull through all the images & video I took. However, here is a recap of our break with our wonderful friends/second a family, The Phillips. We left for McMinnville, Oregon, on Saturday April 1. Of course, Google decided to detour us to whatever little town in North Portland to bypass an accident on I-5, which only caused aggravation. We tried finding food  off an exit that was non-existent. Let's just say, this was super annoying. But we managed, arrived, and celebrated with lunch and then the Water Park: Our first stop.  Because they have an air museum, why not have an air themed waterpark! We had a cabana with prime viewing of the San Diego State win during the Final Four NCAA Championship Jax had a blast The second day we enjoyed the Evergreen Aviation Museum. I ha...
