Quarter News

I haven't had the time to really blog the past few months. Maybe I will have the time when things start to wind down with the holidays. Here is a look at some of the things we enjoyed over the course of the past few months via Adobe Spark videos. The fall colors here were fantastic. October was a great month!  Enjoy!

Turning 6!

Being home was a bit of an adjustment, but once back into the swing of things, Maddy planned a small get together for  her closest buds. It ended up being a small slumber party in celebration of her 6th birthday. These girls have known one another since they were pretty young and I hope they will continue to grow up and be the best of friends. Maddy wanted a camp out sleep over, so that was her theme this year. The girls were great and had a blast! Oregon Coast

We parted ways with my parents and Brad, the kids, and I headed north, back home, along highway 101. Other than not being the sharpest tool in the shed (note to self---call and reserve campsites WAY in advance, because there was no room in the inn at some of the major places to camp), we enjoyed the trip up the coast, stopping and taking in some touristy spots and once again, enjoying the cool weather. We stayed near the Sand Dunes, which was a ton of fun. Brad was on the fence about it, but once we were there, and he had a chance to watch some ATVs in action, he thought it was pretty cool. Redwoods California

After we spent a few days in Oregon, we headed to Northern California where we trekked around the Redwoods and beaches. It was beautiful. Damion was in awe and mentioned to us that he was so grateful to have come here, since it was a place he had always wanted to visit. He was so stoked to see the tallest trees in the world and even got a bit emotional about how beautiful it was. Having not been to the Redwoods since I was a kid, it was a feeling quite indescribable to be back. The trees made you feel pretty small and ant like. There were some trees you could walk into and it was still unbelievable the girth and mass of them.  Camp Inside of Mayday with the topper up-She's complete!
