Madelynne turned 7 months on Thursday. So, here is a collage of pics that represent her growth in over a month.
Little things---her hair is growing and growing. When it is wet, it is about half way down her back. We can put it in good pig tails now and they stay, for the most part.
She is fascinated with bubbles.
She is able to sit up fully on her own, so that means more baths in the sink, so mommy and daddy don't have to slouch so much.
There are those 2 teeth we talked about last month!
There, on the right, is her fascination with the local library's kids programs. The guests were a group from Port Townsend called The Harmonica Pocket. She LOVED them. They did all tribute to Dr. Seuss and she was completed enthralled by their performance. I would check out them on YouTube. They are fun!\ Not to mention, she really likes to watch the big kids, too.
With her mobility just lingering, she really tries her hardest when she is in the "push up" position. She ends up getting into the frog position when she is sitting and then falls down onto her tummy. It will be a matter of time before she takes off. But she is a pro at sitting up by herself.
Her other big milestone is working on eating by herself. She can feed herself the Gerber Puffs pretty well and she loves the fresh food feeders. She loves to just suck on the fruit until it's basically a shell, especially Cutie oranges and frozen grapes.
Otherwise, that's life in a nutshell. She is growing and never ceases to amaze us. She is constantly happy, smiling, and laughing, with a few sporadic moments of fussiness. Nothing that we haven't figured out by using Baby Sign Language or cued cries. Her favorite thing to do is talk and keep a continuous pitched cry/scream going...I think she likes to hear her own voice. She loves to read, sing songs, and see her family act goofy.
Until next time!
